Use this Nigerian brokerage directory to compare published entry amounts, trading access and fee information. The seven examples below are drawn from firms previously listed on this page and are arranged alphabetically. They are a starting point for your checks, not a ranking or a complete list of Nigerian stockbrokers.
Read the qualifications beside each figure. An advertised starting amount, account-opening balance and minimum trade value are different things. “Not publicly verified” means this review did not establish a current figure from the official sources checked; it does not mean the service is free or unavailable.
The regulator column identifies records found in SEC sources. It is not an independent certificate of current licensing. Individual live NGX status was not verified for these rows; use the official directory before choosing a broker.

Name checks: the Meritrade service identifies its brokerage entity as Meristem Stockbrokers Limited. First Securities Brokers is the current name shown in the linked official site and SEC record; its account form still contains FBNQuest Securities wording. Match the legal entity and registration details when using older documents.
These official contact routes retain the remaining firms from the earlier list. Their current fees, minimums, platform availability and regulatory status have not been verified for a like-for-like comparison here. They are not ranked below the firms in the table.
A brokerage commission is only one part of the amount you may pay. Ask each firm for an example using the same stock, trade value and channel. Request separate purchase and sale totals, including applicable statutory charges, taxes, transaction-alert fees and any minimum commission. Also ask about funding, withdrawal, custody, inactivity and portfolio-transfer charges where relevant.
For illustration only, a 1% brokerage commission on a ₦100,000 trade is ₦1,000 before any other charges. A broker’s quoted commission cannot be compared directly with another broker’s all-in total.
Check what happens when an order is only partly filled or executed in several clips, since fixed charges may apply more than once. Ask whether an advertised minimum is an opening deposit, a minimum investment, a portfolio-value requirement or a minimum order.
This revision compares information published by the brokers themselves with SEC identity/function records and provides the NGX directory for exchange-status checks. Each row links its sources and gives the review date. Published claims are identified as such; the review did not open funded accounts, place trades, benchmark execution speed, test withdrawals or measure customer support.
There are no numerical “Naija Investing Hub Scores” in this revision. The earlier scores did not provide the underlying evidence needed for readers to reproduce the ratings. Alphabetical order makes no claim about service quality, returns or suitability.
Older documents remain useful for spotting questions to ask, but they are not treated as current price quotes. Where official materials disagree, are dated, or do not disclose a value, the limitation is stated instead of estimating a fee or minimum. SEC search pagination can move as the register changes, so search by the exact legal name and file number if a linked page no longer shows the record.
